Frequently asked.
Plain answers to what people usually want to know before they write. If yours is not here, ask it through the form.
What does it cost to work with you?
It depends on what the work turns out to be, so we do not publish a fixed price list. When you write, one of us reads your question and replies with what we would need to understand and what the work would involve. Scope and fee are agreed before any paid work begins; nothing is charged for that first exchange.
Do I need documents ready before I write?
No. A few sentences describing what is happening is enough to start. In fact, we ask you not to send account numbers, tax identifiers or documents in the first message; if the form spots something that looks like an identifier, it will point it out. We ask for what we actually need once we understand the situation.
I do not know which service I need. Is that a problem?
Not at all: that is the normal way people arrive. You do not need the terminology or to know where your situation fits. Describe what you are doing, deciding or unsure about, as you would to a colleague, and the sorting out is ours.
I have already filed something that was wrong or incomplete. Can you still help?
Usually, yes. A return already filed can often be corrected within a window, and a notice from the department has its own window to respond in. Both start from what was originally reported, so the sooner we see it the more room there is. Tell us what happened and we will tell you what can still be done.
Are you licensed to advise in the UAE, Singapore or other countries?
We advise from India, on the Indian side of your position: residency, treaty relief, reporting, and how foreign income and assets are treated here. We are not licensed to file or practise in the UAE, Singapore or elsewhere. Where a filing or opinion is needed in another country, we work with or refer you to a practitioner licensed there.
Do you recommend what to invest in, or what to buy and sell?
No. We advise on the treatment of what you already hold or are planning: the tax and compliance side. We do not recommend securities, make investment decisions, or manage money. Where a decision needs a licensed investment adviser, an audit, a valuation or a legal opinion we do not provide, we say so rather than stretch our role.
How quickly will I hear back?
One of us reads every question personally, so a reply is a considered one rather than an automated acknowledgement. We aim to come back within a couple of working days with what we would need and what the work would involve. If a matter is time-sensitive (a notice with a deadline, a transaction about to complete), say so in your message and we will treat it accordingly.
